Dr. Otto Shaw is an Assistant Professor of Education at Heidelberg University. He has taught mathematics courses at Ohio University, Capital University, and Zane State College. Dr. Shaw enjoys teaching mathematics and mathematics pedagogy to future teachers. He is an active member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), the Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics (OCTM), and the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) and has presented at various conferences in his career. His primary interests include inquiry-based teaching and learning in mathematics and the relationship between teacher professional development and the use of cognitively demanding instructional tasks.
